Luise Wolf
Luise is a freelance consultant specializing in artifact cataloguing and improving analytical methodology. She creates digital models of artifacts recorded from archaeological sites and uses these models to answer research questions. Most recently she has worked in collaboration with other members of the lab team on investigating amphoras, cargo tonnages and arrangements, and the trade relationships these signal. Wolf’s broad interests include artifact conservation, understanding the transport of illicit antiquities, and long-term storage of finds after excavation. She is also keen to explore the possibilities of digital preservation of artifacts. She was previously involved as Research Assistant and Artifact Lab Coordinator in Brock University’s Shickluna Shipyard excavation in St. Catharines, Ontario.
